The new Shiny App Santa Rita Precipitation serves the purpose of visualizing and downloading monthly updated precipitation data from the SRER. Here you can explore and visualize current and past data from 24 active rain gauges with data availability starting in 1923.

The App provides visualizations showcasing long and short-term annual and monthly trends. Additionally, wet periods and droughts can be viewed with visualizations of Standard Precipitation Index (SPI) values across a range of time periods.

Data is available for download. This includes multiple time scale SPI values and interpolated/estimated data for all rain gauges starting in 1923.

For descriptive information about data interpolation and estimation that was used in the creation of this application read more here.
