On Wednesday, April 24th, representatives from the University of Arizona, Southern Arizona Experiment Station, and National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON), Domain 14, met with members of the US Senate Appropriations Committee and National Science Foundation on the UA Santa Rita Experimental Range (SRER) to discuss the ongoing 30-year collaboration between the SRER and NEON. The SRER is the oldest experimental rangeland in North America and boasts one of the world's largest ecological data sets. This meeting showcases the national interest in leveraging large-scale, publicly available ecological data sets to better inform our understanding of the world around us.
