Unknown small Asteraceae shrub, solitary head, entire alternate leaves that are quite hairy, scabrous stem, that is frequently browsed. Many dead burroweed. Bush muhly under mesquite. Pappus grass distant center near creosote. Mesquite-creosote ecotone and soil change. Compared to 2000, less grass, dead burroweed, and larger prickly pear and barrel cacti. M.
