Abstract:
This is a point shapefile of the transect locations for the long-term continuing measurements data. Each location is the starting point of a transect. |
Metadata elements shown with blue text are defined in the Federal Geographic Data Committee's (FGDC) Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM). Elements shown with green text are defined in the ESRI Profile of the CSDGM. Elements shown with a green asterisk (*) will be automatically updated by ArcCatalog. ArcCatalog adds hints indicating which FGDC elements are mandatory; these are shown with gray text.
This is a point shapefile of the transect locations for the long-term continuing measurements data. Each location is the starting point of a transect. The most recent update of 11/5/2012 reflects a few positional corrections.
The transects in this coverage were originally digitized from data manuscripted on USGS 7.5 minute maps from pinholes in aerial photos that had been used to locate the transects in the field during the original studies. Those data were automated at the Advanced Resource Technology Group in 1996 and 1997. This coverage was created from a file of UTM X-Y coordinates recorded with a Global Positioning receiver in 2000 when the transects were remeasured.
